How to save money on your ski vacation

Everyone knows that a ski vacation can get expensive. You need lodging, lift tickets, transportation and probably also ski rentals and ski lessons. Here are a few tips that can help you save money while still being able to enjoy skiing.

1.     Plan early
The best deals are available if you book in the summer. Planning early can save you up to 40% on lodging. Plus you still have lots of options to choose from. You cannot only save on lodging though but also on lift tickets. Rates on lift tickets go up the closer it gets to the opening of the lifts.
We know plans can change but you are able to make changes or cancel up to 30-45 days prior to your trip for only a small fee.
2.     Book everything in advance
After you selected lodging and lift tickets, start reserving ski rentals, transportation and ski school. If you book at least 7 days in advance you can save money from doing everything on site – plus no stress while you there. Everything is taken care of – time to enjoy your vacation.
3.     Travelling with kids – make sure to ask us for free activities
Some resorts offer free lift tickets or rentals for kids with the purchase of lift tickets/rentals for adults. If you want to make use of this, ask us which resort offers free skiing or rentals for kids.
There are also other free fun things to do for kids, for example seeing a reindeer in Beaver Creek while getting free cookies after skiing. Delicious!
4.     Cook a few family meals
If you are staying in a condo, why not make use of the fully equipped kitchen and cook a few family meals. This way you can save a lot of money since going out every day can get really expensive.
5.     Stay away from slopes and make use of free shuttles
Ski in/out condos sound very appealing but can get pretty expensive. Most resorts offer free ski shuttles, why not stay away from the slopes and make use of them? The shuttles run frequently and are very convenient. Staying away from the slopes can save lots of money!

Are there any other tips I haven’t listed that you think are worth sharing?
I look forward hearing from you!
